Help! I'm Confused! with EasyTrac

nd you thought the EasyTrac system would be Easy! To setup and use, it is; but to explain all the different aspects of the system, from function to part number, it gets complex in a hurry!

So we've created this page for you (and probably more so for ourselves) to help clear the air of confusion. If this isn't helpful, refer to the ordering page, where you can submit more specific questions.

Stackable Shelving
FE9981

This refers to the pieces you receive with your first-ever order of stackable shelving. You get:

  • One (1) tier
  • Three (3) adjustable file dividers
  • Storage/organizer box of 1" letter labels, as shown on the extras page, at no extra charge.

Add-On Unit
FE9901

This refers to each consecutive order of stackable shelving. You get:

  • One (1) tier
  • Three (3) adjustable file dividers

A Practical Example
Right now you have an office filing system with four (4) tiers. Later on, you decide you need more room. You order two (2) more tiers. At this point, you have three basic options:

  • Group the two (2) new tiers with the existing four (4) and make a six (6) tiered shelf out of the unit
  • Create a new smaller shelf with just the two (2) new tiers
  • Take one (1) tier off the existing system and make two units of three (3) tiers each

This is why it's important to talk to a knowledgeable customer service representative when ordering -- and not the internet -- because the applications for stackable shelving differ and we'll be able to help you determine exactly what you need.

Roll-Out Reference Shelf

What Is This?
This is an optional accessory for both the stackable shelving and the wall system shelving. It serves as either a writing surface or pull-out shelf to hold repair order jackets or reference books.

Labeling System

Repair Order Jackets
There are three (3) different types of labels that make the EasyTrac system what it is.

  1. Alphabetical/Letter Label
There are three different styles we offer right now. They are located on the extras page. We generally recommend you use one style or the other, not both.

  2. Monthly Labels
The montly labels can be used to organize your files by time. Helps keep files organized, and prevents lost or misfiled files. Monthly Lab
